Thank You For an Amazing No Brand Con 2026!

Who says you can’t go home again?

We’re excited to say that No Brand Con 2026 was an amazing success. We want to thank you all for coming out for our grand return to Eau Claire, WI. It’s pretty rare that conventions like ours manage to come back from the dead (because we really truly all thought we were done after 2023), but thanks to the hard work of our volunteers, partners, guests, and friends like you we’ve managed to do the impossible.

No Brand Con is definitely back though, and in a stronger place than we’ve been in a long time. We’re currently making plans for 2027, and we’ll let you know when we have a date. In the meanwhile, over the next few days we’ll be putting out a survey, and you can tell us what you thought about Wisconsin’s small but mighty long running anime con.

Most importantly though, No Brand Con is a community, and it only exits because of you. Thank you so much for coming.

Edit: The survey is out!

We’re excited to announce one more name for our guest list for No Brand Con 2026: Princess Weekes!

Princess has written for The Mary Sue, cohosted both PBS’s “It’s Lit” and Netflix’s “Geeked” Podcast, and releases frequent video essays on social issues, race, feminism, and pop culture on her YouTube channel. We’re excited to announce another addition to the guest list for No Brand Con 2026: Takoyaki Entertainment!

Takoyaki Entertainment is a Midwest Based comedy team devoted to delivering quality comedy content to the convention scene! Founded by a group of friends in 2017, they aim to make you laugh with events and panels.

We’re so excited that they’ll be bringing their unique brand of humor to our 2026 convention.

Guest Announcement: Lewis “Linkara” Lovhaug

We’re excited to announce another guest for No Brand Con 2026: Lewis “Linkara” Lovhaug!

Lewis “Linkara” Lovhaug is a comic book Youtuber most known for making excessively long videos about children’s media where people in spandex punch rubber suited monsters. When not battling robots, Lovecraftian monster Gods, and evil doppelgangers on his main show “Atop the Fourth Wall,” he’s ranting about the worst dreck the comic book industry has ever thought up and then dressing up like a ghoul to analyze horror comics.

And then he remembers “Oh, yeah, people like it when I talk about Power Rangers, don’t they?” and proceeds to release another retrospective on it.
