AMV Contest Submissions Still Open!
We just asked you guys to express your creative side for the No Brand Comic, but there are other ways you can show us your creativity, such as in the AMV contest. AMV contest submissions are still open. It doesn’t matter how long ago you made it, as long you made it and it hasn’t been shown at No Brand Con before, you’re welcome to submit it!

No Brand Comic!
Do you like drawing, writing, or making comics? Do you love No Brand Con? Well, have I got a deal for you! No Brand Con is looking for entries for this year’s No Brand Comic! If you are interested in getting your comics, No Brand fanart, or (heaven forbid) No Brand fanfiction out there to be seen by hundreds of con-goers, free of charge, submit your work to art@nobrandcon.org! However, we have a few rules:
1. Please avoid copyrighted material. Stick to original characters, or if you want, the No Brand Con mascots. We love fanart almost as much as we love cheesecake.
2. Black-and-white pages only. That’s the way they’ll be printed.
3. Length can vary, but please, don’t make it a novel. The upper limit is eight pages for comics, 800 words for prose.
4. As we are a family friendly convention, we ask that you also make your comics family friendly.
The deadline is Thursday, April 26.
DJ Liquid86 joins the fray!
You might know him from Daisho Con’s dances, or you might have seen him at our Mars Con room party, but you can now see DJ Liquid86 at the the dance at No Brand Con 2012. In addition to our resident DJ, DJ Fermi, and our guest DJ Jinrei, DJ Liquid86 will start off the dance with a set of his own! The dance this year is certain to be our best yet!

Preregistration Extended!
Registration would be closed now, but we’ve decided to leave it open for one more week! Now you have until Friday the 13th to preregister. So hurry up and get the lower rate of $30!
Kojokan Samurai Dojo
Samurai Dan and Jillian of Kojokan Samurai Dojo will be attending our 2012 convention! Come watch them perform traditional Japanese swordplay, display their skills of martial arts, and maybe learn a thing or two about culture. Some of their panels are interactive, too, so it’s bound to be a good time!

Volunteer for No Brand Con 2012
Want to get into No Brand Con for free? Volunteer 10 hours of your time over the weekend to do just that! Below is a link to the volunteer form.In the link below, you will find the volunteer form for this year. Once you see the form, go to File, and click Download. That will let you have your very own version of the form. Please fill it out as completely as possible, and either e-mail it to volunteering@nobrandcon.org or snail mail to the address down below.

Fan Guest: Christopher Mihm!
No Brand Con is happy to announce indie film director Christopher Mihm as a fan guest for No Brand Con 2012! Director of such movies as “The Monster of Phantom Lake” and “It Came From Another World!”. He’ll be putting on a showing of “Attack of the Moon Zombies” at No Brand Con this year! Come watch!

Musical Guest: Mega Ran!
Mega Ran (also known under the alias “Random”) and K-Murdock will be performing at No Brand Con 2012! The hip hop artist makes homage to old school gaming through his music, as seen in his albums Mega Ran (music about Mega Man), Forever Famicom (a homage to the NES and SNES), and Black Materia (a hip hop retelling of the story in Final Fantasy VII). Random’s performed at numerous music festivals such SXSW and Nerdapalooza, as well at San Diego Comic-con 2011.

Guest Announcement: Quinton Flynn!
No Brand Con is happy to announce Quinton Flynn as a guest for for our 2012 convention. He’s voiced iconic animated characters such as Spiderman, Speed Racer and Johnny Quest. His video game roles include Raiden in the Metal Gear Solid games, and Axel in Kingdom Hearts II.
